Re: California Consumer Privacy Act — §1798.105 deletion request

Dear Privacy Officer,

I am a California resident writing to request, pursuant to §1798.105 of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the deletion of all personal information your organisation has collected about me.

My identifying details are as follows:
  - Full name: [Your full name, including any prior or alternate names on file]
  - Current or prior California address: [Your address]
  - Email: [Your email address]
  - Any prior account / reference / record number: [Identifier, optional]

I am requesting deletion on the following grounds, as permitted under §1798.105(d):

  1. I am a California resident as defined under §1798.140 of the CCPA.
  2. I have not previously asked you to delete this record on these grounds within the prior twelve months, to the best of my knowledge.
  3. I have not separately asked you to sell my personal information to a third party for value.

I ask that you:

  1. Verify my identity in line with §1798.110 and §1798.130, using only what is reasonably necessary to confirm I am the consumer whose data you hold.
  2. Delete my personal information from your records, including from any cache, log, or downstream feed, in line with §1798.105(a).
  3. Notify any service provider, contractor, or third party to whom you have sold or disclosed my personal information that they must delete it on my behalf, in line with §1798.105(c).
  4. Confirm completion in writing within the 45-day statutory window, or earlier if your organisation's internal SLA is shorter.

If you consider this request incomplete, unverifiable, or covered by a recognised exception under §1798.105(d), please set out your reasoning in writing, citing the specific subsection on which you rely, so that I may consider whether to lodge a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency.

Please send your acknowledgement and any follow-up to the postal address and email address above.

Yours faithfully,
[Your full name]
