Data brokers.Ranked by opt-out difficulty.
A reference directory of the data brokers too prominent to leave out of a discreet dossier — each broker named, each description held to a single line, and each opt-out link routed to the broker's own removal portal rather than a third-party aggregator.
The list is placed in the dossier as part of the standing inventory, not as an editorial commentary on the broker market. The opt-out links below are the literal portals each broker operates; difficulty is rated against the same rubric the engagements are filed under.
The numbers fluctuate by jurisdiction, by data feed, and by the broker's own re-collection cadence; the rubric is the part kept stable across the engagement.
For the bounded public-source map behind this directory, see the digital-footprint methodology.
The directory
Fifteen brokers.Three regions. One rubric.
Each row is a single broker's working footprint on the open record: the data it carries, the region it answers to, the difficulty of pressing a lawful opt-out, and the portal that portal lives behind. The table is the working list a Tier I Footprint Audit runs against; the rubric below is what each opt-out letter is filed against.
The difficulty badge rates the effort and time-pressure the opt-out portal places on a request — not the value of the data held:
- Low
- Moderate
- High

EU + UK addendum
Filing footing.Regulator routes.
An addendum to the directory above — the regional filing footing each request runs under, the regulator each jurisdiction escalates a non-responsive broker to, and a cross-region caveat. The directory names the broker; this section names the regime the brief is filed against.
Bound.
Templates, regulator routes, and standing guidance reduce the time and friction of an opt-out. They do not guarantee deletion within a regulator's stated window, nor do they promise a removal inside a fixed timeline. For exposure that escalates into stalking, doxxing, or financial-fraud scope, the case is escalated to a regulated advisor.
For the bounded takedown workflow, jurisdictional cadence, and the takedown notebook fields the dossier carries, see the brokerage opt-out playbook.

Drafts for the dossier.Two regimes.
Drafted by the standing custodian — the dossier's own copy-able brief under each standing regime. Bracketed fields stay blank; the client fills in identity, the controller, and dated evidence before dispatch.
